Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid Shadows | I Think I’m In Love

Ever since Stila dropped their liquid glitter eye shadows last year, I have been dying to try them. At $24 a pop, they were a little out of my budget. But thanks to my gracious niece, I was blessed with one; Rose Gold Retro! I have to say it is the most beautiful eye shadow I’ve seen yet. And the sad part is, I’m not a huge fan of glitter simply because of the mess they can make. But if you’re looking for a mess-free sparkle for the eye lid, this is it.

I honestly don’t know what I like more about this glitter. The fact that it’s liquid glitter, or that it’s super easy to use. But can we talk about the pigment of these for a minute? They are so pigmented (if you don’t know, pigment is the color pay off) and so freaking pretty on every skin tone that you can’t go wrong with any of the 18 colors it comes in. 6 of those are satin finishes to be exact, but they are just as pretty.

As I was using it for the first time the other day, I almost melted at the application wand that it comes with. It adheres a nice amount of product right out of the tube and is soft and flexible, allowing you to apply it right to the eye. But if you’re a MUA, for sanitary purposes, you can definitely apply it to the back of your hand and use a flat eye shadow brush, or try and use a disposable wand. However, I feel like a disposable wand would not do this product justice.

I was on the Sephora website recently and saw that they have a limited edition collection of these that are going for $30 a pop, which is $6 more than the originals. Unless they have the bling of  Swarovsky crystal, I don’t see what the additional six bucks is for. Is that for the “limited edition” factor?

Needless to say, I am a fan of the originals and want them in every color. I figure that if I budget and buy one every pay check, I can have half the collection by my birthday in June. By doing it that way I won’t feel sick or guilty trying to buy them all at once or in increments. Am I the only one that develops a financial plan for high end beauty products I REALLY want? Please let me know I’m not crazy!! Lol!! Have you tried these beauties? If so, what did you think of them? I’d love to know your thoughts.
